I visited Whistler off-season - right after the Victoria Day long weekend. It was quiet/serene on Monday night (the departure day for many guests) and wonderful to stroll around within the village and walk along the trails - regardless whether it was quiet on Monday or busy again the next days. Knowing Whistler for decades I recommend Whistler for everything on the list except Tango and Tropical Weather :). The 4 Course Menue at Araxi was delicious and well priced.

I and my two grandsons were there for the skiing and found conditions much better than expected. Being able to ski all the way to Creekside at this time of the season was amazing. The grooming on all the runs that were open was excellent. All of this made it an excellent trip for us.
One more thing: The staff in Guest services on the mountain is VERY polite, helpful and efficient. I can not say the same for the people you get to speak to on the phone.

I have skied in many resorts in Europe and North Amerika, and Whistler-Blackcomb is on top of my list. The view, the variety of runs, the lifts, the grooming are all excellent. I will visit again before the end of this season and bring my two grandsons with me.

WE always try to eat at Araxi when in Whistler - been a favorite dining spot of ours for over 20 years. Spring time in Whistler has walking, hiking, skiing and is less crowded than high season. Nice finishing touch to the our ski year. The views from the top Harmony and Symphony chairs are the best!

Great end of season skiing but expensive for a family.
Great end of season skiing but expensive for a family.
Our accommodation was clean and good location but lacking in some amenities.
Depending on where you stay it can be quite a walk to the lifts.
If you want a more quiet stay go to the Blackcomb side. However most of the restaurants, shops etc. are in the village.
The room was nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. The carpet did not smell and the furniture were new and clean. Also, I would like to take this opportunity to special thanks to Jackson, the front desk representative, who had been helping us a lot during our stay. Because of his exceeding service, we decided to stay one more night in the same hotel to explore Whistler more. The other girl, I am sorry I forgot her name but should be Debbie who also helped us a lot for making the extra stay affordable.
Overall I felt like the hotel really gave the feeling of a resort, like you could just hang out there and not have to worry about anything else. The entrance was welcoming with some lemon/lime water and the usual grandness of a Fairmont. The room was comfortable, bed pillows were nice. It's great you can just take the shuttle to the village. Overall compared to the other two Fairmonts (Airport and Victoria) I would say it was good.
Easy check-in and check-out from very friendly staff. The Hotel is located just a few metres from Village Stroll, the pedestrian route through the heart of Whistler Village. The room was great, and larger than we expected, or have experienced in similar hotels. The view from the balcony may not have been of the mountains, but it was a pleasant surprise to look out over a small wooded area, not just buildings!
I had not realized that Whistler was basically built for the 2010 Olympics, and this hotel is part of all that. The rooms are lush and the restaurant in the hotel is extraordinary. Extra bonus nice thing: my room was right down the hall from an amenity room, where they offered both still and sparkling water for you to take to your room--those small touches add up! Close to wonderful walking trails.
Location of the hotel is unbeatable (Ski in Ski Out) , Pet friendly, Ski/Snowboard Valet very efficicent, free hot chocolate each day apres ski is very much appreciated. Grab N Go cafe serves starbucks coffee, and Kaze on property is the best japanese restaurant in the area, possibly better than all of Vancouver's Japanese restaurants.
Room was basic but clean. Exactly what we needed for one night when in Whistler. It was a bit of a drive to downtown Whistler and after an evening tour, there was no parking available at the hotel. Front end staff helped us arrange a spot, however there is not enough parking in the parking lot for all of the cars there.
Each and everyone of the Aava staff has been friendly and courteous.
The hotel is clean and well maintained. The room was spaceous - nice view overlooking the golf putting area.
Paid outside parking was available and much appreciated. Super location: (very) close to the village and yet quiet.
The hotel is located in the heart of the village, which made it easy to access many locations on foot.
The front desk staff were amazing and helpful. The room was very spacious, lots of sleeping options were great for families, and it was nice to have a fully equipped kitchen!
Hotel is located very close to Whistler village. A 3 minute walk will get you to the start of the village. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The hotel did show some signs of age but the appliances were in great working order, clean and the fridge was roomy.
This hotel is perfectly located a very short stroll into Whistler village and all the wonderful aspects of this beautiful location. The rooms are clean and spacious with all the amenities you need on site. The staff were friendly and the price was very reasonable
I stayed this hotel for snowboarding. Location was closed to Whistler Gondola and village.
I have no complain about location.
Room was nice and clean. But pillow was little bit smell which i was not happy.
Bathroom was clean and facility was good
Love every part of it, the view, the amenities, the spa (too bad time doesn't allow us to fully utilize). Simply an exceptional hotel and would definitely come back during our next visit to Whistler. I am still dreaming about the hotel and Nita Lake.
It’s a classic style hotel, aged but well maintained, the premium studio had everything that we needed, everything was working and staff was very friendly, we loved whistler village, hopping to be back soon!!
Location was great, in the heart of Whistler village, surrounded by lots of restaurants and shops. The kitchenette had everything you need. Good views onto the mountains.
Room is situated in a nice hotel.
Excellent location very close to Whistler village but remote enough to enjoy quiet morning in the mountains.
The hotel's caffè has excellent menu for the breakfast. Seats outside provide beautiful view.
No food provided. We had to go into Whistler Village for supplies/restaurants. We did know this in advance but probably hadn't considered how busy the village would be on arrival day (Canada Day)
Very clean and cool hotel in Whistler village. Close to the gondola, in the middle of the village and fun zone. Personnel was very friendly and helpful, front desk (Isabel) was exceptional.
